Job Offer: Skilled Livestock Worker in Germany

We are looking for experienced livestock professionals to join a skilled program in Germany. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in agriculture or animal sciences who are seeking hands-on experience with livestock management. Participants will work on German farms, contributing to various aspects of animal care and farm operations. This is a 12-month position with opportunities to extend based on performance and employer needs.

Description

  1. Duration: Up to 12 months.
  2. Working Hours: 40 hours per week, with occasional paid overtime.
  3. Salary: Approximately €14/hour (before tax).
  4. Accommodation: Provided near the workplace at approximately €300/month (in a shared apartment or house).
  5. Visa Type: Work visa, with a processing period of up to 3.5 months.
  6. Visa Fees: €90 visa fee and €209 KMK fee.
  7. Program Fee: €1500, payable upon receipt of the signed contract from the employer.

Processing

The visa processing takes approximately 3.5 months after the application is submitted. Our team will assist candidates with the necessary steps, including document submission and interview preparation.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Life Science, or Animal Husbandry. (Veterinary qualifications are generally overqualified for this role.)
• University Accreditation: The candidate’s university must be listed as H+ on the Anabin website: Anabin Accreditation.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with farm animals.
• Age Range: 21-40 years old.
• Language Skills: B1 level of English (to be confirmed in an interview).
• Other Requirements: Financial readiness (candidates cover their travel and related expenses) and a strong work ethic. A driving license is optional but advantageous.

• CV: Updated CV in the Bixter format, including a smiling photo to convey motivation and reliability.
• Degree and Transcript: Proof of education in relevant fields.
• Passport Copy: All pages of the passport.
• Recommendation Letters/Certificates: Letters or certificates from previous employers related to livestock experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Animal Care: Manage daily care tasks, including feeding, health monitoring, and general welfare of the livestock.
• Farm Operations: Assist with farm maintenance, hygiene practices, and general farm upkeep.
• Feeding Programs: Help implement and manage feeding schedules for optimal animal health.
• Health Monitoring: Observe animals for signs of illness and report to the supervisor.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other farm staff to ensure smooth and effective operations.
